Some people will wonder why we decided to pull our 10 year old (5th grade) son out of public school. There are a lot of reasons...some we can lay at our own feet, some we lay on the school, and some...well, some just are.
After almost 5 years of IEPs, BIPs, meetings and conferences with teachers and administrators, supports at school, etc, we decided that the effort being put into our kid both at home and at school was simply not producing the results it should. I had a terribly stressed out kid and the kids had a terribly stressed out mom. It just wasn't worth it anymore.
So here we are. (Today was day 4 of homeschooling).
And here we will be until things either shape up to our satisfaction and we feel that he can be successful in a public school setting OR he graduates. Yanno...whichever comes first.
